Overnight, our IT team discovered that this was a cyber security incident. As a precaution we have taken all bank systems offline. They will remain offline until the situation is resolved. We are working to restore our systems as quickly as we possibly can.<\/p>\n<p>We have notified our regulator, the U.S. Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, and the Federal Reserve Bank in Kansas City.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Are my accounts and my money safe?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This is an IT system issue. We have procedures, plans, and policies in place to make all customers whole, should we need to. All accounts are also insured by the FDIC up to the established limits.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>How can I access my accounts?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We do not have a projected time when the bank and its systems will be back online. We know that is frustrating to hear. However, the most important thing is to ensure that when we bring the bank system back online, we are confident that all systems are no longer compromised and fully operational.<\/p>\n<p>At this time, Hilltop Bank customers have access to debit cards with a $1,000 daily limit.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>What if I&#8217;m charged late fees because an automated payment can&#8217;t be made or a check doesn&#8217;t clear?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Hilltop Bank will reimburse customers for any charges or fees incurred because of this incident.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Questions and Answers September 9th, 2026\u00a0 What Happened?
